Event: Friday 22nd November 7am to 3am Saturday 23rd November
This November, as part of the "Sleeping Out for the Booth Centre" initiative, Deluxe Elegant Ladies is coming together to show support for the more than 7,500 people living without stable homes in Manchester. The Booth Centre has been a pillar in our community for nearly 30 years, providing vital support to those affected by homelessness and poverty. As part of this important cause, Rachel Ogunfeibo, Founder of Deluxe Elegant Ladies, is taking on the challenge of sleeping out at the Cathedral to raise awareness and funds for the Booth Centre’s life-changing work.
Standing in Solidarity with the Homeless
Homelessness is a pressing issue that continues to affect thousands in our community, and the Deluxe Elegant Ladies social club believes in making a difference. By participating in the "Sleeping Out" event, Rachel is showing her commitment to standing with those who struggle every day without a home. This powerful act of solidarity aims to highlight the urgent need for more support and services for people experiencing homelessness in Manchester.
The Booth Centre’s mission is to help individuals who are facing homelessness find a pathway to stability. They offer a range of services including support with housing, employment, mental health, and social inclusion. With over 7,500 people affected by homelessness in Manchester alone, the Booth Centre's work is more crucial than ever.
A Heartfelt Contribution to the Cause
Deluxe Elegant Ladies is not just raising awareness about homelessness, but is actively contributing to the cause. Rachel Ogunfeibo, along with the members of the club, will be providing 100 servings of Jollof Rice and Chicken for the homeless in Manchester as part of this initiative. This meal is not only a delicious and hearty offering but a symbol of compassion and care for those who often go without the basics.
Providing meals is just one of the many ways that Deluxe Elegant Ladies is making an impact in the community. The club’s commitment to social responsibility extends beyond events and gatherings; it’s about fostering a culture of giving and supporting the most vulnerable members of society. Through initiatives like this, Deluxe Elegant Ladies is helping to ensure that no one in Manchester is forgotten.
Why It Matters
Homelessness is a complex issue that affects individuals in many different ways. It’s not just about a lack of housing but also about mental health challenges, economic instability, and a lack of support networks. By providing meals, raising funds, and offering a space for solidarity, Deluxe Elegant Ladies is contributing to a much-needed network of support. The impact goes beyond just offering food and shelter; it’s about showing those affected by homelessness that they are seen, heard, and valued.
How You Can Get Involved
The “Sleeping Out for the Booth Centre” initiative is not just about one person or one group; it’s about the community coming together to help. We encourage you to contribute in any way you can, whether through donations, volunteering, or simply spreading the word about the fantastic work of the Booth Centre.
Every donation made helps the Booth Centre continue its essential work in Manchester. The funds raised through this event will go directly to supporting homeless individuals, providing them with shelter, food, and essential services.
